The Captain

Ashley Retallack is the Captain and Owner of Fishing Charters Gold Coast and has lived most of his life on the Gold Coast. His interests include boating, fishing, surfing and sport in general. Ash has been chartering these open waters for the last 15 years and has a vast knowledge of the local waterways, conditions and seasonal fish habitat. Fishing Charters Gold Coast is situated on the Gold Coast at Marinas Cove, Main Beach. Fishing Charters Gold Coast can make your fishing dreams come true offering full day and half day reef and game fishing charters. Your fish are cleaned and bagged for your convenience. You keep what you catch. Our Experienced fun crew give you every assistance to make your day successful and enjoyable. The Boat

Steber 41

Fishing Charters Gold Coast is a Steber 41ft flybridge cruiser, her soft riding capabilities and stability makes this charter boat the ideal fishing platform. To ensure your day isn’t wasted getting to the fishing grounds, the boat is equipped with a turbo charged Cat diesel engine to give a cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of 20 knots. There is ample under cover fishing room on the boat for all and a comfortable saloon area to relax in. Fishing Charters Gold Coast is ideally built for both reef fishing and trolling and the boat is equipped with the latest technology to help locate fish.

We troll for Pelagics, Black Marlin, Dolphin Fish (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Spotty Mackerel (Dec - April) and drift fish the reefs for Pearl Perch, Snapper, Venus Tusk fish, Traglin Jew, King fish, Amberjack, Cobia are a few species we target all year round, June to September are great winter months for quality reef fishing. You can enjoy Whale season from May to October fish and whale watch at the same time. We teach you how to use the gear and fish with our highly experienced Crew you will be guaranteed a memorable day. We clean, bag and ice your fish.

We are located at 60-70 SeaWorld Drive, Mariners Cove, Main Beach, plenty of free parking, walk to the end of the jetty towards helitours, we are 3rd boat on the left at the end. We will contact you the day before to confirm weather conditions and numbers.
